“Jyothisha Shibira” a certificate course was conducted for 15 days. It was inaugurated by Vidwan Haridas Bhat, Professor in Jothishashastra, SMSP Sanskrit College, Udupi on 10th July 2017. Dr. Ramakrishna Udupa, Lecturer in Sanskrit, SPPEC participated as a resource person in this Shibira. 110 students of our college along with the interested Sri Poornaprajna Evening College students participated.
॥ भारतस्य प्रतिष्टे द्वे संस्कृतम् संस्कृतिस्तथा ॥ “Samskruta and Samskruti (Rich cultural heritage) are pride of our country” The department, established in the year 1960 takes pride in the fact that both Samskruta and Samskruti are being taught to the younger generation. Sanskrit is being taught as a Language Paper in the first four semesters of degree classes.
